dating to the time of Herod Archaelus
ca. 4 B.C. - 6 A.D.
Small coin of little value dates to the time shortly after the death of King Herod. It was he who had tried to have Jesus killed when he had his troops slay all of the young children at Bethlem.
Joseph and Mary were given divine warning and fled into Egypt. But on their return, when they learned that Archaelus was ruling in his father's place, they went to Nazareth to get out of his hands.
