The word 'Bible' of ''Biblia', from the Latin, got its origin from the ancient seaport of Byblos. From Byblos in Phonecia, papyrus the writing material of the ancients, was shipped all over the ancient world. Soon this material in the form of Berolls, came to be called 'Biblian' - This term later being applied also to leaved books. Finally in time, the collected writings of the Christians and Jews were, by was of eminence referred to a 'La Biblia' - and now in English the collection of 66 books has come to be known as the Bible.
